Last updated: February 2026 Governed by English law Rombotics Ltd · London, UK

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our website or placing an order. By accessing rombotics.com or making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.

01

About Us

Rombotics Ltd ("Rombotics", "we", "us", "our") operates the website at rombotics.com. We are a UK-based electronics components retailer and engineering services provider, based in London, England.

References to "you" or "the customer" mean the person or organisation placing an order or using our website.

02

Acceptance of Terms

By using our website, creating an account, or placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
  • All information you provide is accurate and complete
  • You agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Notice

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

03

Products and Orders

Product descriptions

We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, specifications, and images are accurate. However, minor variations may occur, particularly for electronics components from different production batches. Specifications are indicative and manufacturers may revise them without notice.

Placing an order

When you place an order on our website, you are making an offer to purchase. Your order is accepted and a binding contract is formed when we dispatch your goods and send a dispatch confirmation email.

We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion — for example, if a product is out of stock, a pricing error has occurred, or we suspect fraudulent activity. In such cases, we will provide a full refund.

Stock availability

Products are sold subject to availability. We display stock levels where possible, but occasional discrepancies between displayed and actual stock may occur. If we cannot fulfil your order, we will notify you within 2 business days and offer a refund or alternative.

04

Pricing and Payment

All prices are displayed in GBP (£) and are inclusive of UK VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout.

We accept payment via:

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via Stripe
  • PayPal (for 3D printing orders)

Payment is processed securely by our payment providers. We do not store card details. Payment must be received in full before goods are dispatched.

In the event of a pricing error on our website, we are not obliged to honour the incorrect price. We will notify you and offer the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order for a full refund.

05

Delivery

Delivery terms are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Key points:

  • We dispatch from London using Royal Mail
  • Delivery estimates are not guaranteed transit times
  • Risk in goods passes to you upon delivery
  • Title passes to you upon receipt of full payment

We are not liable for delays caused by Royal Mail, customs, or other factors outside our control, provided we have dispatched within our stated timeframes.

06

Returns and Cancellations

Full details of our returns policy are set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel distance sales from the day after delivery. Our policy extends this to 30 days for most products.

07

Engineering Services and Consultations

Where Rombotics provides engineering services, consulting, or tutoring sessions, the following terms apply:

  • A written scope or session description will be agreed before work begins
  • Timescales are estimates and may be affected by project complexity or your response time
  • All deliverables are provided on an "as is" basis for your stated use case — we do not warrant fitness for unspecified applications
  • Consultation sessions are for advice and educational purposes only — you are responsible for implementing advice in your own projects

For fixed-price or retainer engagements, specific terms will be agreed in a separate statement of work or service agreement which will take precedence over these general terms for that engagement.

08

3D Printing Service

By submitting an STL file for 3D printing, you confirm:

  • You own the rights to the design, or have permission to reproduce it
  • The design does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
  • The design is not for any illegal, dangerous, or deceptive purpose
  • You have reviewed our print constraints (bed size 220×220×250mm) and the design is printable

We reserve the right to decline any print request at our discretion without explanation. STL files are used solely for producing your order and are deleted 90 days after completion.

Minor variation in colour, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy is inherent to FDM 3D printing and is not grounds for a refund unless outside reasonable tolerance (±0.5mm for most features).

09

User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others or allow unauthorised access.

You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are used fraudulently, or are inactive for more than 3 years.

10

Intellectual Property

All content on rombotics.com — including text, images, code, design, and trademarks — is owned by or licensed to Rombotics Ltd and is protected by copyright.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from our website without our written permission.

For bespoke engineering deliverables, intellectual property ownership will be specified in your engagement agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, work-for-hire deliverables transfer IP to the client upon receipt of full payment.

11

Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded under UK law.

Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with any order or service shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order or service.

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect, consequential, or economic losses arising from use of our products or services
  • Loss of data, revenue, or profits
  • Damage caused by misuse, improper installation, or modification of products
  • Damage to electronic components caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD) — proper handling is the customer's responsibility
  • Issues arising from third-party software, firmware, or hardware used in conjunction with our products

Electronics components are sold for prototyping and development use. We do not warrant suitability for safety-critical, life-critical, or military applications unless specifically stated.

12

Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
